FULL-VIEW for the whole image!

Originally for Christmas, my best friend Kimmie asked for a picture of her cat eating a spider. She loves her cat. Maybe not as much as Hughes loves Elysia, but close enough. ;) She also has dozens of pictures of Pockets, and the idea came in my head that she and Hughes could seriously fight over cute-pimping territory...and hence, this picture was born. (She also loves Hughes, which is why he came to mind in the first place.) Merry Christmas, Kim!

Line art for Kimmie and Hughes done in Adobe Illustrator, and colored in Photoshop. Photos of Elysia and Pockets added in through Photoshop. I know it's a little awkward in some areas, but it's the thought that counts, right? ;) My major focus for this piece was the line work...I hadn't done vector lines in an anime style before, so I wanted to experiment with that a bit. I also decided to color it cell-shading style, which my gallery is also lacking in.
