I suddenly felt like drawing something today. So in lieu of going out and running errands like I was supposed to *cough*, I opened up Painter IX and had a go at it.

Instead of drawing the outlines first like I normally do, I started putting down dabs of color till the girl on the right was fleshed out, then added some lines here and there afterwards. I thought it was boring, so I drew some tree trunks in the bg. Still pretty boring, so I thought I'd go nuts and make use of layers and textures in Photoshop, and really liked the results. I toyed with the layer modes till I got several compositions I was pleased with and tiled them into one image.

It really reminds me of Japanese pop art, so I'm happy with it.
